The photograph, taken in 1940 by Arthur Rothstein, shows a World War II cemetery. The depth perception of the photo creates an illusion of some sort that there are infinite crosses. It looks like it goes on forever and that just goes to show how many people fought for our country and the many fallen soldiers. The photographer framed the event by really trying to capture as many grave crosses as he could and creating an infinite type of illusion using long depth of field.
