Tilt-shift Photography

This photograph of toy is taken by a tilt-shift lens. The tilt shift lenses’ tilting mechanism made it possible to rotate the focal plane at an angle, creating a very creative and distinctive depth of field effect. In this toy photograph, the focal plane is tilted vertically, making all of the toy car in the middle of the road shapely in focus while blurring the backgrounds at distant. Not only does the tilt-shift effect emphasize on the subjects, it also creates a sense of realism, as the composition is trying to mimic the normal depth of field you’d get on real life streets on a much closer and smaller scale.
