Taken in Fall 2020, the images in this book show different parts of the skateboarding scene around Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The majority of the images are shot in two locations: the Bethlehem Skate Plaza and the Steel Stacks. Also pictured in this book is Homebase, a nearby skateboard shop that works hard to help the local skate scene and give back to the community.
The Plaza is the only skateboard park in the city of Bethlehem, and as a result a diverse group of riders can be found here. Open at night with lights on, there can always be somebody seen riding around the park. The Bethlehem Steel Stacks are one of the most well known landmarks in the city, as the now defunct steel mill is what the town built itself from. Now a venue for events, the Steel Stacks has plenty of skateable features around it, although skateboarding there comes with the risk of getting kicked out by security.
I think that this photobook is really interesting and has a lot of cool shots. I especially like the photos where people are in the air. That is really hard to capture so well done! There are lots of great colors here too!
