The image depicts a girl that has fallen off of her bike however, the landscape of the highway next to her makes her look huge. This artist took the picture using a miniature of a highway and tunnel to create the illusion that the teenage girl does not fit into her environment. This use of miniature structures helps to symbolize the concept behind this series. The concept behind the series is to showcase young women transitioning through puberty and show that they often feel as though they don’t belong during this transition.
