For my book I decided to try something I had never done before but had admired in other people’s work before, which was colored lighting. I used two LED lights with gel color lenses to create the dramatic lighting in my photographs. I love photographing people, and this project only enhanced that. With this semester having most of us on complete lockdown, this project became a really fun activity for my friends, it defiantly pushed most of them out of their comfort zones which was really awesome to witness. It was also fun to identify features on each model that I wanted to have stand out/as the focus and see how I could work with the lighting/their hair/their clothes in order to capture their unique and stunning features.
I really love your use of color and how you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone! These pictures are stunning and I think using such a simple background really worked to enhance the overall composition. Loved seeing Squirrel’s feature as well!
These are amazing! I have never played with colors like this and it is really inspiring to see that you did this and were so successful with it!
Woooo!!!!! Looks so good. I love the approach you went with and think it was such a creative and cool idea. I love that you incorporated your friends – it made it so much more personal and fun.
