In her tabletop photography, Lori Nix creates extremely interesting scenes that look incredibly lifeline. In her project titles “Lost” she is able to create such a depth of space using only tabletop scenes, making the shots so impressive. Specifically in the piece “Junkyard” she displays a pile of old cars toppled over top one another. Beyond that initial subject, the details of the science are what make the photograph so successful. From the christmas lights on the little building in the corner, to the pile of old tires behind the cars. The detail of the picture is incredible. As well as, like the other shots in this project, she creates great depth in the photo by the back lit cityscape behind the junkyard.
