This photograph of Barcelona in 1936 shows a woman running for an air raid shelter during the Spanish Civil War and was taken by Robert Capa. In 1938 this photograph was part of a spread taken during the war titled “The Greatest War Photographer in the World: Robert Capa”. Robert Capa is an alias for prints created by Andre Friedmann and Gerda Taro. This character would be known for documenting war in photography. The “famous American photographer” would capture WWII. Robert Capa would go on to have a prolific career and open Magnum photos.
