Piss Christ, Andres Serrano
This piece titled, “Piss Christ” by, Andres Serrano sparked a huge amount of controversy. Serrano’s work made people question the boundaries of art. People saw this image and thought it was inappropriate, and therefore started an uproar in art in which people argued over the decency of this photograph. One side argues that art is a form of expression in which should have no limitations. While the other side argues that there is a level of decency that should be considered in art, and that there is a line that can and should not be crossed.
