I chose this photo by Andres Serrano because I think that blood could be a controversial topic. Some may look at this photo and see movement and think that this photograph is really interesting. One may see beauty in the different vibrant colors as well as a nice texture through the photo. On the other hand, some people may dislike the the idea of photographing blood. One may feel as if this photo is disturbing because typically seeing a bloodstream not a good thing. One may also be offended or sensitive to this photo if they have had a personal experience with blood that did not go well. Furthermore, some people feel queasy over blood in general. Overall, there are a few positive ways people could see this photograph but it is also likely that there could be differing opinions over it.
