Pictured in this image are police dogs in the act of attacking a black man who is participating in an anti-segregation protest. One dog bites at the mans pants while the other looks to be pouncing at the man from the front. I chose this image to analyze because it demonstrates the violence of the civil rights movement. This man, no weapon in hand, standing alone, is violently attacked by dogs. One can also infer that this man was just merely attacked without giving a reason to be attacked because there are many police officers pictured in this image that would have been participating in arresting the man if he had done something wrong. The crowd in the back looks calm which is another contributing factor to how this image displays one of many struggles in the civil rights movement.
