Doing Democracy

This photo was taken at the Democratic National Convention in Miami Beach. The Vietnam war and America’s role in the war was one of the hot button issues during the convention. Nixon would go on to win the election by a landslide that election, as a result American troops would be in Vietnam for the next three years. The delegates at the convention are excited and throwing their hands up at the prospect of a better and more just future.
