Blog Post #10: HDR example

What is this post? Choose an example from this list or find an HDR example online that you think is both strong compositionally and is processed well. Post it to your blog with a full citation and a description of the strengths you see.

I chose this image from the list because it immediately drew my attention. One of my favorite features of this image is accomplished by the use of lighting. You as the viewer feel as though you yourself are in the shadow/ shadowed part of the image. This enhances the beauty of the parts of the landscape that are hit with the sunshine, and in a way it feels like soon that sunshine will come over to the shadowed part of the image. Additionally the reflection in this image is stunning, and allows the piece to look like it is capturing an even larger landscape than it actually is. I like how the house is included in the right side of the photograph. The inclusion of this aspect adds a homeyness in addition to a helping tool in scaling just how big the landscape is. Lastly the boats that lay on to the water show absolutely no effect on the waters surface. This small detail adds to the delicacy of the photograph, as there is clearly nothing (wind, current etc.) interrupting anything in the picture.
