I shot all of these images walking around my town near golden hour, just as the sun was beginning to set. I wanted to try and capture different areas and aspects that are often overlooked, so for my short depth of field I shot the mailbox by getting down low and focusing on a really tight up shot looking at the area where the brown rust and blue color contrast each other in a cool way. For my long depth of field shot I wanted to shoot the sun’s reflection off of the building instead of going down to the water and shooting the actual sun, and the reflected colors turned out really nicely. Lastly, for creative depth of field I wanted the foreground and background to both be out of focus, and I found that by shooting down the length of a handrail I could achieve the effect I wanted.
