The similar concern that I picked was homelessness and I found this website that created by Steven Huff. He started to document homeless people from 14 years ago and the image above is one of his photographs of a man named Rodney in 2006. This image has a short depth of field and the focus is on Rodney’s face, especially the cut on his face. Rodney’s hair is also dirty which shows the bad condition he is experiencing as a homeless person. Every person that Steven took pictures from has their own stories and experiences. All of Steven’s photographs have clear focused on each of the unique people because he chats with these people before taking shoots. It is important for a photographer to understand the theme of his/her photograph and set up the emotion of his/her works before taking them.
