This photograph provides several factors of composition to discuss and analyze. The long depth of field allows for a lot of different aspects of the setting to contribute to the the center and main focus of the photograph. The mountains in the top part of the image also at first glance can be perceived as a dark and gloomy sky. This attribute of the photograph is very interesting and extremely powerful as the perception of a gloomy sky contradicts the strong light source coming from the left top of the image that results in dramatic shadows on the people and dog. The simplicity of the coffin combined with the rustic and old feel of the building behind them contribute to the sense of poverty expressed in the photograph.
