This photograph of a castle in Disneyland by Diane Arbus is a great example of a deep depth of field. With the entire scene in focus, the viewer can clearly depict the entire castle along with the swan in the moat and the trees in the background. The deep depth of field allows every detail to be in focus, such as the bricks, the draw bridge, and the flags. The composition of this photograph is both strong and compelling. There are so many aspects that contribute to making this a strong photo: the angle of the shot, the lighting, and the reflection of the castle and lights. I especially like how the swan, being the whitest detail in the picture, grabs your attention slightly more than the castle after the first glance.

Because of the darkness and the haze of gathering fog the DOF is not as deep as it would be at noon. But then the photograph would not be as interesting either. So while this is not the best example of deep depth of focus, it is a strong example of depth and good photography.
