This photo was taken Aaron Siskind, an American Photographer in 1984 in Brazil. On the slides document, it is slide number 16. This image is in black and white with a lighter grey tone as its background with darker black tones as focal points. Starting from the left, there is a complete black ring or circle that seems to be drawn on a wooden background that has clear wooden texture. As we move along to the right of the image, we see more circles, but incomplete ones; half circles, quarter circles, etc.. that seem to be parts of one another. The semi and quarter circles seem to have a paint-like texture. The objects in this photo are not quite recognizable, which makes this abstract photography. There are dramatic elements of asymmetry, contrast, background and foreground, and shapes in this photo, which make a strong composition.

Maybe some description of the vertical that cuts the composition into two uneven vertical pieces along with horizontal near the bottom would enhance your observation of asymmetry. Good observation of texture and pattern.
