From Henri Cartier-Bresson’s book, which is considered to be one of the most important photo books of the twentieth century, I realized that not all images need to have same or even similar meaning but that there needs to be an encompassing topic or idea that all of the images can fit into in some way. From Then They Came for Me, I understood that I can also make a photo book based on an event and my photographs can be my documentation of the event with meaningful images. Lastly, from my favorite one of the three, the youtube video of AIR by Vincent Laforet, I realized I could really think as creatively as possible in terms of my project. Because I am in Amsterdam for a semester abroad, I was thinking of doing my book about street photography here or more specifically street fashion, because I have a big interest in fashion.
