The fundamental key of capturing motion blur is slow shutter speed and steady camera position. In order to achieve slow shutter speed, we first have codetermine the appropriate time in order to capture the full motion, set the camera mode to shutter priority or manual mode, then stop down the aperture and/or decrease ISO. If needed, use ND filter to further increase the exposure time. In order to get the camera steady, either secure it on still surfaces or use a tripod, then use a remote shutter release. Other more advanced technique to try is Slow Sync Flash and panning shots.
