Title: Tehran 2006 Artist: Mitra Tabrizian
This image is interesting because it appears that several images were photo shopped together. This effect happens because although there are a lot of people in the composition they are all facing different directions, some of them in movement, some of them appear to be still. The background of the image is set in the east (Iran). Tabrizian often showcases both the western and Iranian world in her photographs. This image was captured as a panoramic view and is a study of isolation and upheaval. This is clear with the composition of people who appear to be copy and pasted from other images to create a collage of people walking in different directions, isolated from one another. Some of these people even appear to be taken from other locations due to the way they are standing, or the small clusters of people that appear to be together but separate from the rest.
